Next time you\u2019re scraping ice off the car and grumbling about cold fingers, spare a thought for the remarkable David Corless<\/a>, who\u2019s just completed a unbelievable 230km five day Arctic wilderness ultra marathon in temperatures dropping below -30\u02da.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s over a marathon a day in conditions that push competitors right to their limits, both physically and mentally. Many don\u2019t make the finish line.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe run\u2026 wow.\u201d said David \u201cTo say it’s unlike any challenge I’ve ever undertaken is an understatement. Amazing, but truly, truly brutal. My body took a battering and mentally I went to some dark places.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019re truly humbled and grateful that David chose to support us as part of his challenge, and we simply can\u2019t thank him enough for his fundraising, which currently stands at over \u00a35000. You can support him here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve worked within the video games industry for close to 30 years,\u201d he said\u201d \u201cSo I know personally the amazing work that SpecialEffect do, and the joy it brings to thousands each year. It may seem like a small thing to us, but for the kids to be able to play games with their mates is EVERYTHING to them. It truly is a special charity.\u201d<\/p>\n
