We\u2019re inviting game developers and publishers<\/strong> to partner with us on Friday 4 October 2024<\/strong> for One Special Day<\/a> to create magical moments for physically disabled gamers worldwide.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re inviting you to donate all or part of your game-related revenue \u2013 sales, DLC, merch \u2013 from 4 October. Or you could contribute one or more titles to our One Special Day Sale on Steam that runs from 16-22 September, or get creative with a diverse range of internal, external and regional staff fundraising events.<\/p>\n

The campaign, which last year saw 90 games industry companies from across the world raise over $600,000 through corporate donations, sales revenue and fundraising events, is vital in supporting our mission to help physically disabled people all over the world to access video games.<\/p>\n

With demand for the charity\u2019s services continuing to rise, SpecialEffect\u2019s Founder and CEO Mick Donegan explains the significance of the event:<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Special Day is such an important cornerstone in supporting our work to bring the joy of video games to physically disabled people across the world. Our team is facing an ever-increasing demand for all of our services – accessibility advice, assessments, the expansion of resources such as gameaccess.info<\/a>, our DevKit<\/a> and our Eye Gaze Games website<\/a> – and the generous support of the games industry in securing the future of these life-transforming, free to access initiatives is hugely appreciated.
