Emma\u2019s reliving many magic retro memories thanks to an adapted controller setup devised by our assessment team.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her cerebral palsy makes controlling her fine movements quite difficult, so she got in touch to see if our specialist support could help her make the most of her abilities to enjoy playing games like Crash Bandicoot and Sonic the Hedgehog on her PS3 again.<\/p>\n

Emma was already using her feet successfully to access her PC, so our team positioned three foot switches on a Velcro-covered tray to help her play games. As she was using a joystick for her PC, they worked with her to identify a gaming joystick that could potentially maximise her control. This was carefully positioned on a lap tray with a beanbag-base which was then secured with a waist strap to help her enjoy her gaming as comfortably as possible.<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t wait to hear how Emma\u2019s gaming levels up. As with everyone we help, our support is ongoing and it\u2019s already been a pleasure to customise and swap in a sturdier version of her joystick that helps to improve her accuracy. Have a great time gaming, Emma!<\/p>\n
