Please, introduce yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n Hey everyone, I\u2019m Natalie, but most people just call me Nat.<\/p>\n I\u2019m a disabled gamer with a condition called neurofibromatosis which has unfortunately left me wheelchair bound and with limited use of my left hand. I absolutely love playing a variety of games, and I\u2019m a very big fan of football, boxing, and UFC. I love to draw and paint and although it\u2019s difficult to do due to my condition, I never let it stop me.<\/p>\n I currently stream on Facebook Gaming<\/a>, my streams can get a little bit spicy at times due to some 18+ language, but I like to make sure that people know what they are getting themselves into, so I always put a little warning in my stream title before I go live! I like to make sure that my chat is always kind, fun, and welcoming. I tell everyone that they can be themselves whilst they are in my chat and have no need to hide themselves away.<\/p>\n We love a wholesome stream community! Tell us, how long have you been a content creator, and how did you get started?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been streaming for around three years now, though I did stream back in 2017\/18 on Twitch, but after my health deteriorated, I unfortunately had to stop. I\u2019d watched quite a few content creators on Facebook, and a few of them inspired me to start streaming again. Even though I knew it would be extremely hard considering I wasn\u2019t the same person I was years ago, with some helpful words and support I managed to overcome my anxiety and start streaming again!<\/p>\n We\u2019re so glad you decided to start streaming again! What is some of your favourite content to make online, and why?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I absolutely love making gaming content, whether it\u2019s me livestreaming the games, or uploading clips of gameplay online from various streams I\u2019ve run. I like to play a variety of games off stream, but on stream I absolutely love to play CoD Mobile with my community. It\u2019s always great to hear them enjoy themselves whilst playing, which is my top priority. If my followers are enjoying themselves then that\u2019s all that matters and it\u2019s why I love doing what I do.<\/p>\n That\u2019s awesome, we don\u2019t see too many mobile streamers! What are some of your favourite games, and why are they important to you?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n CoD Mobile has helped me in so many ways. I was a bit of a loner and unfortunately would get bullied about my looks and condition, but when I started to visit streamers playing CoD Mobile and decided to start playing it myself, I started to meet lots of new people who didn\u2019t judge me on what I looked like, they didn\u2019t judge my gameplay and understood that I can\u2019t play the way everyone else does. I now have so many awesome friends because of CoD Mobile and it just goes to shows that gaming is honestly a great thing.<\/p>\n We\u2019re so glad you\u2019ve found as welcoming community! How did you hear about SpecialEffect, and why have you fundraised for us?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I first heard about SpecialEffect through a streamer called MyMagnumHurtsGaming<\/a>. He invited me to become a Moderator on his channel and wanted to donate to charity via his streams. He sent me a few links to look at, and after reading about what SpecialEffect does for disabled gamers, and being a disabled gamer myself, I just knew this was the perfect charity to support! You only have to watch the videos of the people who they help, see their smiles, hear their laughter and feel the pure excitement that radiates out of them, it\u2019s why SpecialEffect has solidified a place in my heart.<\/p>\n Our community is incredible, we couldn\u2019t be more thankful for you all! What are your top tips for running a charity event?<\/strong><\/p>\n Even having done my first GameBlast<\/a> Stream, I was extremely nervous and honestly didn\u2019t know where to start, but these are some of my best tips that I picked up! Make sure that the charity is always at the forefront of your stream. Having some of SpecialEffect\u2019s amazing videos ready to show helps people feel involved and may inspire them to donate, once you show exactly what it is that SpecialEffect does and how donations help them continue their work.<\/p>\n I also recommend getting your chat involved, having them make you do silly challenges in game or on stream, as it makes them feel like they too are a part of the event.<\/p>\n Great advice, Nat!
