Phew, what a scorcher! You’ve melted our hearts with your amazing support during July, and here are just a few highlights from events taking place all over the world:<\/p>\n

\"PaintingLavecon<\/strong> is a fantastic Elite Dangerous<\/a> convention that\u2019s kindly supported SpecialEffect for many years, and 2022 was no different. From an amazing art auction run by CMDR BeetleJude, the Lavecon<\/a> raffle, and some our valued Ambassadors flying the SpecialEffect flag, we’re thankful to the Elite Dangerous community for their enduring support.<\/p>\n

\"SmilingKirtlington Golf Club Captains Day<\/strong> – Earlier this year Seniors Captain and SpecialEffect Ambassador Steve Dolton (pictured here with Maddy) kindly chose us as his 2022 charity. Maddy and Mark had a wonderful time as guests at the club’s Captains Day, which raised a fantastic \u00a3700!<\/p>\n

\"FootballSplash Damage vs Games Industry Football Classic<\/strong> – Hosted by Bromley FC<\/a> at Hayes Lane Stadium, Splash Damage<\/a> took on a host of games industry friends in a full throttle 11v11 footballing epic! Splash Damage took the win, and raised an amazing \u00a31500<\/p>\n

\"Two\"ManSixfields Soccer Smasher<\/strong> – Players from across the games industry including Rare Ltd<\/a>, Playground Games<\/a>, First Touch Games<\/a>, SEGA<\/a> and Devolver Digital<\/a> came together for a surprisingly well-mannered match at Northampton Town FC<\/a>, courtesy of SpecialEffect VP and Northampton Chairman Kelvin Thomas. The event was sponsored by Devolver Digital, who\u2019ve kindly offered to match the fantastic \u00a31500 that was raised. Our colleague Nick even got to show some of his silky overhead kicking skills!<\/p>\n

\"Pirate-themedSOTFest<\/strong> – With the rallying cry of #BeMorePirate, the Sea of Thieves community came together this month to celebrate life on the high seas! Through a full day of fun, events and competitions, and an incredible fundraiser and raffle, SOTFest<\/a> has raised over \u00a36000 so far. The team has also just announced SOTFest 2023, so keep an eye out for this event next year!<\/p>\n
