If you\u2019re up for a slightly shorter challenge, a 13km route finishes at the same point as the full route. Both routes are wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re asking you to raise \u00a3150, that&#8217;s about \u00a310 for every mile walked. And thanks to our event sponsors, 100% of your vital fundraising will go straight towards our work putting fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people right across the world.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d love you to help us raise \u00a3100,000 through One Special Walk, which is the flagship event in our annual <a href=\"https:\/\/onespecialday.org.uk\/\">One Special Day<\/a> fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Your entry fee of \u00a325 (\u00a310 for the shorter route) includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A place to take part in One Special Walk 2025 on Friday 3 October.<\/li>\n<li>A One Special Walk branded t-shirt.<\/li>\n<li>Food and refreshments along the route.<\/li>\n<li>A start line celebration to set you off with a bang.<\/li>\n<li>A One Special Walk finisher medal and goodie bag.<\/li>\n<li>A finish line celebration to congratulate you on your achievements.<\/li>\n<li>An exclusive SpecialEffect premium enamel pin badge if you reach your \u00a3150 fundraising target.<\/li>\n<li>Resources, tips and tricks to help you with your fundraising and training for the walk.<\/li>\n<li>On the day support from our events team and volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our incredible event sponsors will be announced very soon, but if you\u2019re interested in our additional sponsorship opportunities, please contact <a href=\"mailto:maddy@specialeffect.org.uk\">maddy@specialeffect.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is set to be our BIGGEST challenge event to date, with over 500 participants involved, so come and join the fun and help us level the playing field for people with physical disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s accessibility like along the route?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe&#8217;re making sure both our full and half routes will be wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific questions, please email <a href=\"mailto:events@specialeffect.org.uk\">events@specialeffect.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Will there be things to do on the route?<\/strong><br \/>\nThere will be a whole host of activations and rest stops along the route which will be announced in the run up to the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is there an age limit?<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder 16s are welcome to join the walk, but must be under adult supervision at all times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fundraising target is \u00a3150 but I think I can raise more, should I raise my own target?<\/strong><br \/>\nAbsolutely! We&#8217;ve set \u00a3150 as a goal so that people have something to aim for but if you think you can raise more then go for it! Every participant who reaches \u00a3150 or more will receive an exclusive SpecialEffect premium enamel pin badge as a thank you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will there be food provided?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, we will have a designated lunch stop as well as plenty of rest stops along the route where refreshments and snacks will be available.
